Paul Devereux is an experienced and respected author and researcher primarily dealing with archaeological themes and ancient lifeways, unusual geophysical phenomena, and consciousness studies. His work spans the range from academic to popular. While making his subject matter attractive and accessible to a wide audience, his material is factually based. He has written or co-written 25 books since 1979. He has also written a range of peer-reviewed academic papers. See his web site, www.pauldevereux.co.uk.

His ground-breaking book, "Stone-Age Soundtracks" (Vega/Chrysalis Books, London, November 2001) was published as a tie-in to a documentary on the Channel 4 television channel, but goes into far more depth.

This was based in part on research carried out as part of the Dragon Project, with Professor Robert G Jahn of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research group. See the online paper Acoustical Resonances of Assorted Ancient Structures by Robert Jahn, Paul Devereux, and Michael Ibison, 1996.

For Metageum 07, Paul will be presenting an overview of his research into archaeo-acoustics. During his visit to Malta, it is hoped that Paul may be able to make measurements of the resonant frequencies inside Maltese Megalithic structures.
