About Liz Ashton Hill

Liz Ashton Hill is Senior Lecturer in media studies at the College of St. Mark and St. John, Plymouth. Her exhibition explores the myths and legends of the megaliths and standing stones which may be found throughout the seaboard of Europe. Her work documents a journey from Malta to the West Country exploring the spiritual, creative and sophisticated civilizations along the Atlantic coasts. Her work illustrates Peter Marshall's latest book Europe's Lost Civilizations: Uncovering the Mystery of the Megaliths.

Some of Liz's photographs were included in the exhibition Sacred Footprints, in Plymouth, England, 22nd March to 1st July, 2005. (Also at the Plymouth exhibition were painter Anna Grima and the ceramicist Sina Micallef Farrugia, who will also be at Metageum '07.)
