About Linda Eneix

Linda C. Eneix made her first visit to the Maltese islands in 1990, as Director of Product Development for a wholesale tour company near Chicago. With a base of exposure to many ancient cultures, Eneix recognized the importance of the Maltese temple structures and of the early civilization that created and used them. In 1993, Eneix and friend Josette Portelli of Malta combined their backgrounds in cultural tourism with a desire to do something meaningful for the UNESCO World Heritage of the prehistoric temples on Malta. The result was the founding of The OTS Foundation, incorporated as a U.S. non-profit tax-exempt organization in 1994.

Quietly, and without much fanfare, OTSF has been a visionary force in fostering respect and consideration due both to an ancient people and to the World Heritage legacy that they left behind in the Mediterranean thousands of years ago.

The operation of OTSF educational travel programming in the Maltese Islands has resulted in the usual economic benefit of tourism. Additionally, this non-profit foundation has contributed over US$300,000 to the University of Malta, an archaeology laboratory, various research projects, and philanthropic conservation and heritage awareness initiatives.

At Metageum '07

We are delighted to have Linda with us at Metageum '07. The huge OTSF display, which shows the context and history of the Maltese temples, will be displayed in the conference reception area throughout the conference. And Linda herself will give an introductory talk on the OTS Foundation and its work, on the opening afternoon.
