The Ministry of Tourism and Culture
The Ministry has within its remit the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), which in turn controls Heritage Malta (HM), which is responsible for the preservation of, and access to, all but one of the prehistoric temples in Malta. As the person who is thus ultimately responsible for almost all of Malta's legacy of prehistoric sacred sites, Dr Francis Zammit Dimech is a very appropriate person to open this conference.
